What We Do
We will analyze areas where our client is not comfortable receiving the best value for their dollar, and without finger-pointing, suggesting other areas of expense they may wish to consider. If savings can be found through the current supplier, or with a new supplier(s), we will come back to the client in a short time with specific recommendations for saving money - without sacrificing quality or service. We may negotiate with our client's current suppliers, or we may recommend new sources of supply. The final decision is obviously yours. What we offer is our knowledge of the marketplace and the ability to recommend suppliers and services for our clients on the most advantageous basis.
What We Don't Do
We do not pretend to be experts in your industry. Nor do we evaluate employees, staffing levels or efficiency of our client's personnel. All of our findings, negotiations with suppliers, and recommendations are held strictly confidential. We do not finger-point, and if there are areas the client does not wish to address, for any reason, we will respect their wishes. We will not suggest they cut salaries or staff. To the contrary, we are careful to encourage employees to be more cost-conscious, without being perceived as a threat to them.
WE DO SELL PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. WE ACCEPT NO COMPENSATION OR REMUNERATION FROM ANY SUPPLIERS, AT ANYTIME.
Our Relationship with Clients and Suppliers
We treat suppliers fairly.
First, we do not "beat-up" suppliers over price. We have long-term relationships and are constantly forging new relationships, in an ever changing marketplace.
Secondly, confidentiality is very important to us. Our client's data is confidential, as are our suppliers' prices and bid information. Our agreement with the suppliers is that if selected to work with our client, they will not make contact with them unless we provide the introduction. In this way we can ensure a professional respect for all parties involved.
Thirdly, we do not accept any rebates or payments from any of the suppliers we work with. We use suppliers only because of the price, quality of product and service they provide for our clients. In return, we reward our suppliers for their consistency and reliability by bringing them additional business.
Fourth, we are not agents of our clients, so we cannot and do not make decisions on their behalf. We make recommendations. 98% of the time, our clients accept our recommendations and we assist in implementing them. |
What Do We Cost?
Unlike consultants who work for a set fee or charge a substantial billing rate, J. Andrew Associates, Inc. operates on a contingency basis. In those few instances where worthwhile savings are not found, the client pays nothing and receives the satisfaction of having confirmed his organization is performing at an unusually efficient and effective level. In other words, if we don't achieve savings, we don't get paid!
When our clients save money as a result of our efforts and recommendations, we receive fifty cents of every dollar saved during the agreed upon timeframe immediately following the full implementation of that pricing. After that timeframe, savings belong 100% to the client. The client literally has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Remember, every dollar we reduce our clients' overhead goes directly to their bottom line.
How Do We Measure Savings?
The base cost of an expense area will be determined, and the method of measuring savings agreed upon before any mutual obligation is created. We will produce a document summarizing our findings, our recommendations, and our estimate of annual savings for the Client's approval and agreement before the implementation of new prices by incumbent or new suppliers.
On a monthly or quarterly frequency, after new pricing is fully implemented, we will compute the actual savings, with our client's concurrence, we generate our invoices after the savings are fully implemented.
